School Tours
Our school programs have been designed to comply with New York State Learning Standards in Social Studies, English Language Arts, and the Arts. Programs can be modified for a variety of grades and ability levels. Our Museum Educator will work with you to ensure that your class’s specific learning requirements are met.
- Museum Detectives(3rd – 5th Grade) Approximately 90 minutes.
- Who lived in the Conference House? How did they make their clothing? How did they prepare their food? What happened here in 1776? Museum detectives can solve these mysteries!
- Students will use hands-on, inquiry based learning to explore the world of colonial Staten Island and the lives of the family of Colonel Christopher Billopp, who lived here during the American Revolution.

- Little Museum Detectives(K – 2nd Grade) Approximately 90 minutes.
- Our Museum Detectives program adapted for younger audiences.
- Students will learn about the lives of the Billopp children by playing colonial games and performing colonial chores.
- Includes a house tour and several hands-on activities.
